OK, it turns out that in my attempts to have a VirtualHost
dedicated to SVN, I had an actual subdirectory <webroot>/svn,
which interfered with <Location /svn>! Now that I removed it,
everything works fine.

Still I couldn't configure Apache to serve SVN from a svn.host.tld...
