Stellation project officially open!

The Stellation project is, at last, officially released as an open-source
subproject of Eclipse.

I've mentioned Stellation several times, so I won't go into great detail.
But we're a friendly competitor to SubVersion, written in Java. Instead
of trying to focus on being a CVS replacement, we're trying to be
a complete, usable SCM system that is built on a highly configurable,
and extensible base platform. This makes Stellation an excellent platform
for trying out new ideas in SCM. We also provide integration with the
Eclipse IDE.

We're part of the new Technology subproject on eclipse.org. You
can find out website by going to www.eclipse.org, selecting "Projects"
from the sidebar, and then selecting "The Eclipse Technology Project".
(The site is maintained through ViewCVS, so the URLs are extremely
long and ugly.)

Please come over and take a look. Even if you're not really
interested in contributing to the code, we welcome lurkers on our
mailing list.

We're not self-hosting yet. Before we can run Stellation on the public
server, we need to add stronger support for access control lists, which is
the next thing on my personal agenda. (Currently, access control is
all or nothing.) I hope to have self-hosting on the public server working
by the end of this month.
