Allow me to vote for this one too. ;-) I was bitten by this today by
using an RPM I created of neon that accidently didn't include libneon.la
but was otherwise perfectly functional.

My fix was to rebuild the neon RPM with the necessary file; given that
neon.m4 went to some trouble to link against libneon.la instead, does
anyone remember what the reason for forcing the link against that was?
