I'm aware of that, but it doesn't make the situation any less
disappointing for me.

First, although there is currently no way to turn on svn:keywords for an
entire project (or at least, all new files in the project), some day
that will and probably should change, at which point it will be easy to
accidentally apply keyword substitution to a file.

Second, if I have imported a source file from another project, it's
quite plausible that I do want to perform keyword substitution on it,
but I still want the repository to remember what the imported keyword
was (which I can retrieve with a -ko checkout, or equivalent).
