This presents other problems with filesystem limitations, etc. svn goes
to great lengths to be portable (APR et al) so does it make sense to destroy
this with filesystem dependencies? These problems may be easier to solve
than the bdb ones, of course.

I prefer the dark of the night, after midnight and before four-thirty,
