Sorry, bad choice of words. Yes, it seemed you were thinking that.

Well, "know" is a strong word. I was fairly certain, but with you,
you never know. You seem to notice things we all forget. Wasn't sure
if this was one of those times. :-)

No problem at all. What matters is that we're all of one accord now;
that to our collective knowledge, nobody is aware of any theoretical
or design roadblocks to making switch work on a single file.

This doesn't, of course, mean I won't come back with more
implementation questions... hehe.
