SSL required only for write access?

From: David Summers <david_at_summersoft.fay.ar.us>

What Apache directives would I need to restrict subversion write access to
an SSL connection?

I tried putting the SSLRequireSSL option inside the
<LimitExcept GET PROPFIND OPTIONS REPORT> block but it appears that it is
being required even when I just try to normally read files, not try to
commit.

I can probably live with a https READ connection, just thought I would ask
to see if the above can be done.

   Thanks,
