this appears to break in rev 867. when i go back to 866, svn diff -r
1001:1002 gives me the expected output. with 867, diff just says that
binary files are different. i have no idea what the actual problem is
though... the code touched in 867 is all ra_dav stuff, and i can't
see anything that would cause this kind of behavior.

it does seem to only break over ra_dav though, so i guess something in
this diff must be causing it.

is anyone else seeing this?
