ahh, my mistake then... perhaps we should include pointers to these
ports in our win32 documentation (or maybe they're already there... i
don't actually use svn on win32 at the moment, and i don't have access
to the code at the moment to check...).

in any event, it still seems kind of wrong to build in a dependency on
sh if we can avoid it.
