Thanks for the additional investigation into issue 526, japj. Let us
know if you find anything more.

One important question: is your apr source tree up-to-date? I believe
some process creation/termination code was fixed recently to work on
Windows. If you don't have those changes, these are exactly the sorts
of symptoms you'd be seeing.
