+1 on that. actually, to summarize my prefs:
- svn st: short output
- -u, -v separate switches, not implying one-another
- no strong opinion about the verboseness of plain -u. could be same
  layout as plain -v (with plain -v using spaces where the
  out-of-dateness would be displayed in the -u case)
- no asterix please. a letter code would be a lot more usable
  (Added, Removed, Modified/Patched/Updated/Whatever)
