sounds like a plan... right now all i've got are some patches to make
it look for gdiff and gpatch (and you need to diffutils port i
submitted yesterday to get gdiff, since i couldn't find it anywhere in
the ports tree).

i'm still having trouble making it build with freebsd's DB libs...
i've got db3-latest (or whatever the name of the port is, i'm not in
front of a FreeBSD machine at the moment), and configure says it's
looking in the appropriate place, but i still get the "coudln't find
DB libs, building client only" error at the end of configure...
