It looks like you're primarily interested in the Subversion's
implementation of WebDAV/DeltaV. If so, look at the "WebDAV Usage"
paper underneath the web site's "Docs" tab.

Note -- Greg Stein, the author of Apache's mod_dav, is the person
responsible for making DeltaV our network protocol. He basically
wrote all the code and has made all the decisions about exactly how
Subversion implements DeltaV. (Almost) nobody else on this list is
really capable of discussing this topic. :-)
