Filesystem now using new representations/strings code

The `strings-reps-dev' branch has been merged back into the trunk.

This means the filesystem is now architecturally ready to have
deltification code plugged at the appropriate spots, so that's what
Mike Pilato and I (and presumably Branko?) will be working on starting
now.

May I permit myself a decorous little "YEE-HAW!!!!"?
