build problem

Greg, I just did a fresh update from CVS, autogen.sh, configure, and
everything seemed to go just fine.

Then this:

~/projects/subversion % make
Makefile:162: *** missing separator. Stop.

The line at 162 is just:

@SET_MAKE@

Any clues?
