Branko, I sure hope you're still there. :-)

Pretty soon, I'm going to check in a rough design for
reverse-deltification. It's somewhat complex (JimB pointed out some
clever things we can do with delta composition, similar to what RCS
does), and it will have to be implemented after the separation of file
metadata from contents, which gives us at least a week of pounding on
the draft before we'd start coding it.

Are you interested in this problem? If so, can you review the draft
when I check it in? You can decide whether you want to do the actual
implementation later. :-)

(Obviously, anyone else is welcome to do this too; I'm addressing
Branko because I suspect this fits his abilities and inclinations
particularly well.)
