Re: [Bug 343] New - Problems with multiple additions

Hey all, sorry for this not being a real reply. My free domain service
is taking its sweet time about actually forwarding messages to me today,
so here are my thoughts on what I have seen in the web archive.

In regards to Ben's email. I realize that checking the entries file
isn't perfect, but it is a lot better than nothing (also see Jim's
email). In theory, you are supposed to do a svn up, right before svn
ci anyways, so most of the time, you should have at least fairly close
to what is in the repository baseline when you commit. If someone else
has added the same file or dir in the meantime, then yes it is a tree
conflict, but if you have done so yourself, I think add should catch it.
BTW, I think this may have been one of the causes of the bug I filed
yesterday. There were two problems in that bug:

1) Added an SVN dir (this has since been fixed),
2) Add dir svn twice.
