Introduction

Hi,

I'm Yoshiki Hayashi, a Japanese open source software
developer. In case you wonder what my first name is, it's
Yoshiki.

In real life, I'm a senior at the University of Tokyo and I
just finished submitting my Bachelor of Engineering thesis.
It was about garbage collection and I implemented
generational copying GC in XEmacs. Although it is really
buggy, I could obtain some figures and could compare it with
other implementations. I'll probably write summary of it in
English and post it to xemacs-beta. If you are interested,
please drop me a note.

I've been lurking around here since the start of this year,
when I was virtually vanished from XEmacs development. I
was too sick of politics played there and I'm not going to
go back to the project near future. Meanwhile, I've watched
this list closely and decided that this is the project I
want to work on. I'd like to contribute by writing code and
sometimes by joining discussions. As I'm still trying to
understand the details of fs structure, it'll take a while
before I can contribute.

As for version control side, I've been maintaining Japanese
translation of CVS manual. Except I have same gripes for
CVS, I don't have much to add.

That's about it. Oh, I must add I'm not good at writing
English despite of the fact that I have been learing English
for quite some time. I tend to write short messages and not
explaining enough. If you can't decipher my mail, please
let me know.
