AFS has a single file namespace; it can't do anything with a hostname.
(An AFS path generally looks like
/afs/this.looks.like.a.host.name/stuff/here, but the second component
is not a hostname and does not get looked up in the DNS; it is
resolved through AFS by the local cell like any other path component.)
