Introduction

From: Gregor N. Purdy <gregor_at_focusresearch.com>

Per the request on the web site, I am sending this this message
introducing myself.

My interest in subversion is based on my frequent use of CVS for
version control and my desire to have a system that does (among other
things) directory versioning. I am the author of O'Reilly's CVS Pocket
Reference (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/cvspr/). Back in 1999 I made
some notes on an idea I called Concurrent Versioning File System
(CVFS). The idea and the writeup have a few warts, but if you want to
have a look, it is available at:

     http://www.focusresearch.com/gregor/project_ideas/cvfs.phtml

For now I intend to mostly lurk on the list, participating in the
occasional discussion. I'll pull down the code and look around a
bit, and I may eventually contribute some code once I've become
oriented.

Regards,

-- Gregor
