With VB4 and earlier, I would agree completely. VB5 is the first release where I felt comfortable with VB as an environment for building packaged software. In fact, I did just that with my former firm. VB6 is definitely a step forward, not backward.

What are your specific concerns with VB? There may be ways I can address them in development rather than consider VB verboten.
