Hah. I worked for some years with an OODBMS that implemented such
"theoretical" configurations in their full glory. And well ... yes, they
could be a pain, but they could also be extremely useful. Guess what the
system is used for? Process and configuration managment, no less,
typically for teams of 100-500+ developers. Ah, but we sure don't want
to compete with that, do we. :-)
