I think this would be coolest as part of lftp itself. It supports
protocol modules; one such module could be the svn protocol, which
would be nice, because I also wish lftp had DAV support. :)

This way, all the nice shell-parsing and queuing and backgrounding
support that's in lftp doesn't have to be rewritten.
