You said that, but also advocated manual initialization. That is what has me
all jiggered out of shape. sorry.

Different problem, and one that I agree with you on. Thankfully, we're
seeing much less of the old int/ptr fiasco. Gotta say that [the reasonably
widespread use of] the Alpha has cured of us that :-)
