Introduction

Hello everyone.

My name is Terrel Shumway. I am a CS undergraduate at the University of
California, Irvine (yes, that is where Jason is from too).

I have had an interest in development tools in general and SCM in particular
for a while now. It seems that Tigris is a perfect match for my interests.

I have followed some of the development of PRCS and xdelta. I like the user
model. I am glad that subversion shares many design goals with that system.

I have also suffered through and survived a roll-out of PVCS Tracker, learning
many of the things to avoid in a SCM system.

I am a Python biggot^H^H^H^H^H^Hadvocate. It pains me to watch people slave
away trying to get C++ (for example) to do stuff that is so easy to do in
Python. For this reason I would like to steer the development in a direction
that makes high-level scripting language bindings easy. Python, Javascript
Perl and TCL interfaces should be core deliverables.

I have a wife and two handsome sons, one 2 years old and one 3 weeks old.
I am also trying to graduate some day so I can get a real job working on
cool projects like Tigris. Therefore I will conservatively place myself
in the "a few postings a week" category. However, if there is Python work
to be done, I would like to be as involved as I possibly can be.
