Introduction

So, I'm supposed to say who I am. I'm that guy whose name is in the

to put the source tree under CVS about four years ago. I'm familiar
with most of the ins and outs of CVS, and I'd love to see something
better which still lets us work more or less the same way we do now.
I have a fair amount of experience writing free software; I cut my
teeth in the MUD world many years ago (with tf, vt, and coldmud) and
have since moved on to more obscure stuff like zephyr and ares.

I think the subversion specification document is pretty much right on
target, and I'm interested in working on the design and writing some
of the code. I can only guess at how much time I'll be able to
contribute to the project.
