upgrade SVN

Hi all,

I have this repository files that are working with SVN 1.4.5.

I want to upgrade the repository to be SVN 1.6.X

1) Do I need to upgrade to SVN 1.5.X or I can just move to SVN
1.6.X ?

2) I am using SVN - Visual Server. After I copied the Repository
from one server (1.4 servers) to the new SVN server (which is visual
server 1.6), I can see all the files and I can even do a checkout. Can I
use visual svn server version 1.6 with repository files 1.4 and it will
work OK ?
