Share a project on a SVN repo of an existing project managed by CVS

Hi,
  I've a particular situation here.

We're using CVS for managing the sources of our project, there is no plan
to migrate to SVN or other VCS.

One of our client is asking us to publish the sources of the projects we
are working for them on there SVN repository.

  So i've two question :

   1. How do I share my existing project ? With Tortoise SVN, it tells me
that the folder must be empty...
   2. Is this a problem that there is CVS folder in the sources ? (I can
   add an exclusion)

Regards,
Thomas.
