TortoiseSVN 1.6.5 and relative externals?

From: Dan Stromberg <dstromberglists_at_gmail.com>

I find it hard to imagine that it won't, but does TortoiseSVN 1.6.5
support (without untoward problems) relative externals pointing at
individual files when used with an older (1.4.x most likely)
repository?

I'm pretty sure that older versions of Tortoise supported absolute
externals pointing at directories, though I've always just used the
command line client.

I'm getting some resistance on an SVN client upgrade, so it'd need to
work quite smoothly if I'm going to be able to get it to happen.

Thanks!
