Subversion supports any file type, text or binary (which would be the
most likely format for Word/Excel files). The only catch is you
probably (most assuredly) won't be able to use any merge functionality
since its geared towards textual diffs. This usually isn't a problem
with binary files, you simply choose what version of a document you want
to be a master and leave the other one be.
There are no filesize limits beyond your OS that I know of.

Subject: Quick question
I have just a little question for you guys. Is the subversion support
word documents and excel. I know there is size limitation for the file
but above that can you tell me that if I use it with word files or excel
files I will get problems or it's working fine with office files?
