On many lists, this is the recommend way to answer. In fact, many people
believe it is impolite if Cc:ing to a mail that was posted to a mailing
list. I did not even think that someone might Cc: me here.

In this case, the problem was that I am not subscribed to the list. I am
reading it via gmane.
