Planning Linux to Windows repository migration

I have to set up a new repository for a new family of projects.

I have the choice of setting it up immediately on a Linux box,
where a 1.5.x version of Subversion is running (FSFS), along
with Apache and svnserver. Our clients will run Windows +
SVNTortoise 1.5.x.

In a few weeks (or months, who knows) we will have to migrate
this repository to a Windows XP server where a 1.4.x version of
Subversion is running (FSFS too), along with svnserver (no
Apache).

Questions:

1) Should I expect any repository migration problems regarding
EOL issues or other OS-related issues?

2) Should I expect any repository migration problems regarding
permission issues?

3) Should I expect any repository migration problems regarding
1.4 / 1.5 differences? Should I strongly suggest a 1.4->1.5
update on the Windows version before the repository migration?

Please don't hesitate to answer RTFM if it is pertinent, but real
experiences are also welcome!
