Link Branches

Hello,

I was not able to find something about that topic, maybe because I don't know what would be the right term.

In a different version control system I got in contact with had this feature where you could create branches
but the files where still linked to each other. Changes to one branch where automatically performed on the
linked branches/files too.

Those links where kept until you explicitly specified to break that link, in case you want that feature
not to be included in the stable branch for example.

I think this feature is very usefull in times when you have a new development branch but in the
testing phase a lot of fixes are done for both, the "stable" and development branch.

Is such a thing possible in svn? Do you think this is something useful?

regards,
