Thanks for the answers. I had found that script, and I'm sure it works
really well in a *nix shop where people are used to command line,
however we're in a pure windows place and whilst there are a few who
of use command line the majority are going to be using TortoiseSVN to
do everything including tagging. These are all really technical
people but we use Visual Studio and write C# and windows doesn't have
perl installed by default... anyway I'm sure you get my point :)

Ideally there would be a --pin-externals option in SVN (in fact
ideally I think that would be the default with a --no-pin-externals
option). I might even get to look at coding it when I get time to
start building svn - but in the meantime I need a more immediate
solution.

So whilst I know I'll be sent to the spice mines of Kessel for even
thinking about doing this - I was really just making sure it was
actually possible before wasting time looking at how to do it. Plus
this is only a property and only when tagging so I from what I can
gather the risk is fairly minimal no?

Thanks
Purple
