Thanks, John, I thought I had upgraded to 1.5.1 (in /usr/local which
is generally ahead of /usr in allmy paths and LD_LIBRARY_CONFIG, etc.)
on all my hosts, but I forgot about the stock 1.4 with my Fedora
distributions--I'll have to look around more closely to see why they
are even in the loop. (I'll get rid of them anyway.)
