SVN does not store file permitions and ownership info

I use SVN as DB to store UNIX configuration files

It is flexible to rollback to last configuration if something goes wrong

But SVN does not store file permitions and ownership info

So when I restore files from repository it create files as 644 but this is security hole for my system because of it allow others to read files which they must not

It will be great if SVN will store file ownership and permitions info in repository
