While this can be solved (but would be a very fragile hack that people could
work around) it's completely against the design of SubVersion: it is designed
to work with multiple people working in parallel. You would do yourself no
favor if you did this "token" scheme: it will bring your productivity down
for no reason.

I suggest you take a look at the SubVersion book
(http://svnbook.red-bean.com), it also talks about workflows. See especially
chapter 1, "Fundamental concepts", and there look into "Versioning Models".
