Re: svn blame prompts for password for every. single. file.

Try using pageant or ssh-agent to store your ssh keys. You will only
have to type the password once per session.

(This assumes you are using svn+ssh as that is the only protocol with
this problem. That, or you turned of credential caching (which would be
a PEBKAC error))
