Do you have any concrete reasons to say this? Or is it your gut
feeling which tells you so?

No offense, but from where I'm sitting it's kind of hard to judge. If
you're looking for good archives, they're available at
http://svn.haxx.se/.

They hold the (nearly) complete archive back to 2000.
