I used the exe installer for two reasons:
- Subversion 1.4.5 was the first version I was/am using (switched from
visual sourcesafe). The exe installer was available when I looked for the
subversion downloads I thought this will be the easiest way to get svn up
and running on my server.
- several "how to install subversion for visual studio" articles recommed to
use the exe installer and the tortoise client.
