It's just because in some situations, I'm often annoyed by the fact
that there is a .svn folder in each directory of the repository. Of
course performance will be decreased by this design, but not much that
I would care compared to the benefit of having clean folders in my
repository.

Do you mean when moving in the os or when "svn move" ?
