How to protect directories from the repository

Hi

My project has two directories: D1 and D2. Two persons work for this project: P1 and P2. I create a repository for this project. P1 must have access only to directory D1 from the repository. P2 must have access only to directory D2 from the repository. If I don't want to use "chmod", what choices do I have? Can SVN itself protect somehow directories from the repository, similar to "chmod"?
