SVN and LyX

Hi,

I use LyX for technical document writings. LyX provides its own
version control which will generate another file <filename>.lyx,v in
the same directory. It is a local VC like emacs. Is there a way to
let LyX work with svn? Or rather, how do I use LyX with svn? I am
interesting in merging changes from many other writers. Any pointers?
Thanks.

Best regards,
