Any way to limit the size of committed files?

Hi all,

I have a subversion repository used for 'everyday work' (ie not just
source code) that is shared by a few people, included some less
tech-savvy people who occasionally attempt to add/commit really big
files like uncompressed bitmaps and huge word documents and so on.

Is there any way that I could easily prevent upload of files exceeding
certain size limits? Preferably I could do this by type (I might want to
permit certain types of file to be large, but not others).

Cheers
JP
