Olivier,

It seems to me the easiest solution would be if there was an svn
utility which reads revisions, calculating and displaying each
checksum, and reports which ones have invalid checksums stored.

That way, you could edit the revision file in order to restore the
checksum value if desired. I guess they avoid making these kind of
tools because it interferes with protecting the "history", meaning
they don't want someone to easily change histroy, so to speak.
