basic svn operations are taking too long

Hello SVN users,
We are having a strange problem with our SVN server: When we try to performe some operations such as "diff" and "replace" these take too long (several minutes). We don't know exactly what happened but before the same operations used to take just some seconds.
Anyone has any idea what is going on?
