svn client scramble my file

Hello,

   I am having a bizarre problem with both my svn client on
GNU/Linux(debian) svn on cygwin. When I retrieve a file it replace '
with â. Is this some kind of dummy configuration I need to setup ?

The file on disk contains:
       printf ("option i with value â%sâ\n", optarg);

whereas from the svn web client:

http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/gdcm/Applications/gdcmrewrite.cxx?a...
108 : printf ("option i with value '%s'\n", optarg);

Thanks
Mathieu
