Re: PROPFIND request failed on '/'

The problem described was:

"http://cvs.rbfigueira.net:8080/Error * PROPFIND request failed on '/'
PROPFIND
of '/': Could not resolve hostname `http://cvs.rbfigueira.net:8080/': The
requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have
the
correct associated data being resolved for. "

As I found out today after a very long a fruitless search and assuming that
this was a n00b error.. The problem is NOT necessarily caused by the system
being improperly configured..

Your local PC firewall can be a cause too...

It seems my ZoneAlarm Pro setup was blocking access for TortoiseSVN to get
to the server and it was coming up with the same error above (with a
different URL).

You can confirm you don't have a problem with your server setup by trying to
visit your apache based SVN server using your browser and so long as you
haven't cocked up your browser settings too you should find that you can
browse your SVN repositories that way. Turning off your firewall
(completely) can also confirm the problem.

For what it's worth it seems that the Apache 2.2 and the new subversion work
just fine (Unix source) too..
