That's a good news. Perhaps a note about
redirecting the stdout/stderr can also be
added to the comments of post-commit.tmpl

Actually, I was mistaken when I first replied. My fix was right, but
it'll only work in 1.3.1 or greater, since we fixed the bug after
1.3.0 was released. It's been merged into 1.3.x, but no release has
been cut yet.
