Hi Chris,

Thanks for the response. No I didn't run autogen - the move to 1.2.3
was triggered by having to completely rebuild the machine, so I was
building in what was a Subversion virgin environment.

I will try autogen and 1.2.3 again now that I have 1.1.4 running as a
contingency.
